We're stirred by the Richardson baseball not-a-story because he's
a big fat liar one of ours. And many of us are scared of have our hopes up high about the bully guy. A source for Joe Monahan says:
"You have a Governor who has advanced the most progressive agenda in a generation. But the Republicans are trying to put it in the shadows and demonize him. But do you hear them offer even one concrete policy proposal to get this state moving again? He has ideas. They have snipers."
But Joe's scuttlebutt seems obvious:
...the Guv may not only be fighting the R's but possible Dem opponents for the 08' Prez nomination and perhaps, just perhaps, they could be starting some of the mischief.
Or maybe he's just easier to pick on than Hillary Clinton.
The Santa Fe New Mexican not-a-story comments run the range from complete apologist to hissing contempt. And then there's this by David Lopez:
This will be the news on Thanksgiving, 2045.
In his statement to the Journal, Richardson claimed that "as a Congressman, and later after playing in the prestigious (amateur) United Nations, and during my time at DOE, I was approached by agents ... who offered to recruit me, under the condition that I agree ahead of time to sign a contract, if I ever went covert. I could not agree to sign a contract, and therefore was not employed by any of those interested agencies."
Richardson later developed memory trouble, removing any possible presidential service. Before that, he said voters had told him he "would or could" be elected.
"In my mind, that meant I had been elected President," Richardson said.
It's not Republican snipers. It's Democrat mutineers. Coco
