Your Tax Dollars at Work

Westside Getting rich in real estate depends in part on predicting timing and location of government investments in things like water lines and roads.  We know who will benefit from Mesa del Sol developmentSo who benefits from the public subsidies for development around our remote Westside airport?

In the Journal this morning is announcement of federal funding for these projects:

  • Paseo del Volcan — $14.6 million for roadway construction connecting Paseo del Volcan/Double Eagle II Airport with Rio Rancho.

  • Interstate 40 and Paseo del Volcan — $12 million to support rebuilding and expanding this interchange to improve access to the Double Eagle II airport and its emerging commercial aviation center.

·       Paseo del Volcan - $8 million to improve this thoroughfare from I-40 to the Double Eagle II airport.

·       University Boulevard/Mesa del Sol$5 million to extend University Boulevard from the Interstate 25/Rio Bravo interchange to 9,000-acre Mesa del Sol planned community.

Let's not wonder why Mesa del Sol is taking so long.  $5 million compared to the Westside's 34.6?

Whose got the stroke?    Coco
