Sheriff White on High Horse

Albuquerque Tribune covers our Sheriff in New Orleans. Is he supposed to make himself or the President look good down there? I always get his roles mixed up.
Kinda scary we're sending our armed forces into New Orleans , isn't it? Sheriff Darren Way-White to the rescue to "route out looters and shooters in New Orleans' 2nd Police Precinct." Sounds like so-we-can-say-we-did behavior.
I mean, New Orleans may need more engineers or doctors or coroners. Or protection for engineers, doctors or coroners. Sending heavily armed deputies onto the streets under Darren sounds like the Crusades. Or it just sounds like trouble.
Tribune Reporter Ollie Reed is with them. You can hear his excitement...or is that worry?
"After days of watching the tragic, surreal and sometimes violent aftermath of Hurricane Katrina unfold in New Orleans on TV, they were riding the old rivertown streets in marked patrol cars, inviting targets for the snipers they had been hearing about."
That's some advance prep for the armed guys. Watching T.V. The claims of looting could be a little exaggerated by the television coverage, don't ya think?
I'd be very worried Ollie. Coco
P.S. Local blogger Mario Burgos has pronounced that the blame for everything should be on the local and State officials because they didn't prepare. Maybe the Sheriff has room in his posse for Marios.
